On Sunday evening, Borussia Dortmund secured their fourth consecutive victory in the Bundesliga with a hard-fought 3-1 win over TSG Hoffenheim at Signal Iduna Park.

The match was full of twists and turns as both teams put up a valiant fight to secure a share of the spoils. However, it was the Borussia Dortmund who emerged victorious thanks to two goals from Jadon Sancho and one from Erling Haaland.

In the first half, Dortmund had the better of the play but failed to convert their chances into goals. However, things changed dramatically in the second half when Sancho scored his first goal for the club since his £75 million move from Manchester United.

Sancho's goal came after a brilliant pass from Jadon Sancho, who found himself on the edge of the box. He picked out Sancho, who took a touch before slotting home the ball past the Hoffenheim goalkeeper.

Just three minutes later, Haaland made sure that the match was never in doubt by scoring what turned out to be the match-winner. The Norwegian forward was given space in the penalty area and he took advantage of the opportunity to score his 29th league goal of the season.

Despite being down to ten men in the dying moments of the game, Hoffenheim did manage to find a consolation goal through Stefan Savić. However, it was too little too late as Dortmund held on for all three points.

Overall, this was a well-deserved victory for Borussia Dortmund who have now secured their place in the top four of the Bundesliga table. They will look to continue their winning form next weekend as they host Schalke at home.
